About

The Full Story

Have you ever repurposed something—an old piece of furniture, a room, a building, or even a season of your life? Repurposing means taking something that once served one purpose and giving it new life, new meaning, and new direction. That truth reflects the heart of the Mifflin County Dream Center. The former Burnham Hardware building has been repurposed into a place dedicated to personal transformation, restoration, and community growth. What once served a commercial purpose now serves as a space where lives are being rebuilt, hope is being restored, and futures are being reshaped. We recognize that this work is not the result of human effort alone. God has faithfully provided every resource, relationship, and step needed to bring the Dream Center to this point, and we give Him the glory for what has been accomplished. From the vision to the completion of the building, we have seen His provision through generous hearts, willing hands, and a supportive community. The Dream Center exists to serve individuals—both adults and youth—by offering practical support, encouragement, and accountability rooted in faith. Through structured programs, mentoring, and community relationships, we help people develop life skills, strengthen responsibility, and move forward with hope and purpose. It is a place where people are not defined by their past, but encouraged to grow into who they were created to be—a place where hope becomes a habit. Now open and serving the community, the Dream Center stands as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the power of people coming together in obedience and compassion. We invite you to join us—as a participant, volunteer, partner, or supporter—as we continue the work God has placed before us, building lives and strengthening Mifflin County one step at a time.
